Somerset County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that we have appointed BaxterStorey as our Official Hospitality and Catering Partner.
The initial five-year agreement will see the caterer and SCCC working hand in hand to provide an outstanding hospitality and catering provision for anyone who visits the Cooper Associates County Ground.
In August, the Club undertook a rigorous and thorough exploration of the various catering operational models available to ensure that we provide Members and guests with fantastic experiences.
The purpose of this process was to ensure that our catering offering:
- Provides quality products and the optimum service at the right price for all our valued Members and guests
- Is flexible, scalable and able to respond to uncertain trading conditions whilst being fit for purpose
- Generates a sustainable profit for the Club
- Provides a structure for continued improvement and growth
The Club fully explored all options and identified BaxterStorey as the standout provider and best fit for the Club.
Following the announcement, SCCC CEO, Gordon Hollins said: “We are thrilled to announce this new partnership. Catering is all about people and we were very impressed by BaxterStorey’s leadership and their desire to work in true partnership.
“We believe this will be the beginning of an outstanding working relationship as we aim to consistently provide memorable experiences for our Members and stakeholders and grow into the venue of choice in the South West, which will allow for substantial investment in cricket.”
SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert added: “Working in partnership, we will be looking to bring new ideas to life and provide a more diverse matchday offering than ever before.
“It’s not just about our matchdays. This partnership will see us providing catering excellence across all of our events.
“Over the coming months, we will be seeking feedback from our Members and stakeholders to establish what our most valued customers want to see on the menu at the Cooper Associates County Ground.”

BaxterStorey have dedicated nutritionists who will be working hand in hand with the Club’s Strength & Conditioning team to provide the very best for our playing staff. They also put emphasis on ensuring that they deliver bespoke offerings to each organisation that they work with to guarantee that they are delivering the best possible service and value.

Somerset Members got to experience first-hand exactly what BaxterStorey have to offer recently when the Club introduced them at a special Membership Open Day. The event gave those present the opportunity to experience every facet of the Club and to sample a taster of what Members and visitors can expect from BaxterStorey throughout 2022.
