It was reported recently that cult sci-fi series Red Dwarf would be returning to our screens later this year, and the star of the show will be at the Cooper Associates County Ground later this month.
Red Dwarf, which debuted in in 1988 on BBC2, generated a huge following throughout the 1990s and spawned 12 series spanning 74 episodes plus a television film.
The show focuses on the adventures (or should we say misadventures) of Dave Lister, a third-class technician and the lowest rank aboard the space cruiser Red Dwarf, who inadvertently becomes the last surviving member of the human race.
Dave Lister is played by Craig Charles, the Liverpudlian actor, comedian and presenter who is also famous for his appearances in Coronation Street, Robot Wars and Takeshi’s Castle.
Craig is also one of the most exciting DJs in the business, and we are delighted to be hosting the Craig Charles Funk & Soul House Party on Friday June 21st.
From the stages of Glastonbury to the airwaves of BBC 6 Music, Craig has been entertaining crowds with his infectious energy and unbeatable beats for over 30 years and he will be at the Cooper Associates County Ground in just two weeks time!
