The Cheltenham Festival is one of the most prestigious events in the sporting calendar, and on the eve of the festival Somerset County Cricket Club will be hosting a special preview night on Thursday March 2nd.

The event is being staged in association with Alexandra Dunn Racing and Danum Partnership.

A key element of this night of sporting entertainment will be an expert panel consisting of

Oli Bell (chair) – ITV horse racing presenter.

Alex Dunn – Renowned local racehorse trainer.

Cheltenham Festival winning jockeys Nick Scholfield and Richie McLernon will also be in attendance

The event will be held in the Long Room and tickets cost just £15.

Early booking is advised as the places are limited and a sellout is expected.

To secure your tickets please email David King at davidking.terrier@gmail.com with your name and the number of tickets you require.

The Long Room kitchen will be open for food orders from 7pm to 8:30pm and a cash bar will also be available.

A raffle will also take place on the night with all profits from the evening being donated to The Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF).

The event will also mark the launch of the sale of shares in the “affordable ownership” horse Sailed Away. 2,000 shares at £60 each are being offered to allow cricket and horse racing fans in Somerset and the South West the chance to own and follow the Alexandra Dunn trained gelding as he embarks on his National Hunt career.
