“To be able to attract a performer of Lionel Richie’s profile to Taunton highlights that the South West is a great place for concerts of this type thus enabling Somerset County Cricket Club, and indeed the region to showcase what we are capable of. This event has brought visitors from all over the country to Taunton and the surrounding areas and has provided the local economy with a much-needed boost.

“It is more important than ever for this Club to play an integral role within the community, and seeing so many people enjoying themselves inside the Cooper Associates County Ground on a beautiful evening is something that we are all extremely proud of.”
