The recent Evening with Rory Bremner at the Cooper Associates County Ground was a big success.
Not only were those in attendance treated to a hilarious night of comedy and a superb three-course meal, they were also able to help raise over £800 for the Somerset Cricket Foundation.
The evening began with welcome drinks in the County Room, before former Somerset all rounder Peter Trego, who was the host for the event, welcomed Rory to the stage.
Throughout the night, the multi-talented comedian, impersonator and satirist entertained those present with his award-winning brand of humour, whilst also exploring his love of cricket and sport in general.
Following the event, SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert said: “We couldn’t be happier with how the evening went. Rory was absolutely exceptional and the food was of an incredibly high standard.
“Rory took the time to visit every table and he was extremely funny. The feedback that we have received has been universally positive, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who attended for their incredible generosity in raising money for such a worthy cause.
“These are the kind of events that we want to become synonymous with the Cooper Associates County Ground, and we will continue to offer high quality events like this at the venue. It’s not just about cricket here, so keep an eye on this website for details of forthcoming events.”
