An Evening of Lionel Richie

Somerset County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Grammy Award® winning performer Lionel Richie will be performing a spectacular open air event at the Cooper Associates County Ground’s first major concert since 2014.

Famed for his iconic hits such as ‘All Night Long’, ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’, and ‘Hello’, Lionel will perform in the magnificent cricket ground in the historic town of Taunton on Sunday June 11^th 2023.

Lionel Richie’s music is part of the fabric of popular culture with more than 125 million albums sold worldwide. Richie has won an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, four Grammy Awards®, and most recently, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2022 Class.

Gabrielle has also been added as special guest!

Celebrating 30 years since her debut single ‘Dreams’ went to No.1 in the UK Charts, Gabrielle is known for her incredible soul sound with hits including ‘Out of Reach’, ‘Sunshine’, and ‘Should I Stay’.

These hits have seen her win two BRITs (Best British Female and Best British Breakthrough), as well MOBO Awards for Best Single (‘Give Me A Little More Time’) and Best Album (‘Rise’).
